The T587 Blu-ray player is NAD's first foray into the world of Blu-ray and with their usual high-quality, precision design, they bring you a Blu-ray player with incredible performance and which delivers a thrilling high-definition experience.

The solidly built NAD T587 is Blu-ray profile 2.0 (BD-Live) compliant, allowing you to use many advanced, interactive features found on many Blu-ray titles. For example, picture-in-picture commentary (as you watch the movie the director pops up in the corner of the screen as a 'talking head' and gives you behind the scenes information), BD-Java applications (for enhanced menus and interactive features) and BD-Live (extra content you can download through the T587's ethernet network connection).

The T 587's HD performance is superb thanks to its high-quality components and HDMI v1.3 connectivity supporting 1080p resolutions and the 24 frames per second 'native film' format. All this means a super-sharp, deliciously detailed and extra-exhilarating movie experience.

Audio is equally fantastic. Via HDMI, the T587 supports bitstream output of the new lossless HD formats; Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio and Dolby Digital Plus. Standard Dolby Digital and DTS are also supported and can be output via HDMI, optical digital connection or stereo analogue sockets, making the T587 ideal for any set-up.

Pair the NAD with a HD-ready television and a multi-channel surround system and you'll have a home cinema system worth shouting about. But Blu-ray movies aren't the T587's only forte, because it will also play DVDs, upscaling them to full 1080p resolutions, CDs, DivX video, MP3 and WMA (Window Media Audio) music and JPEG photo files. You can even play movies, photos and music from USB devices such as memory sticks or portable MP3 players.
