NAD T577
NAD's reputation as a hifi and home cinema manufacturer needs no introduction, and the T577 Blu-ray player combines their emphasis on quality audio/video with some fantastic functionality.
Via HDMI connection, the T577 supports full 1080p high definition resolutions, so Blu-ray movies will look simply stunning on your HD-ready flatscreen or projector. It also supports the 24 frames per second 'native film' format found on many Blu-ray titles, allowing you to see the movie just as the director intended. HD audio is supported too, with on-board decoding of Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus and DTS-HD Master Audio. These formats can be output as bitstream or linear PCM via HDMI or decoded for output via the 7.1ch analogue output.
The T577 also features NAD's impressive upscaling technology, allowing DVDs to be played back in 1080p resolutions, so your existing movie collection will also look at its best. However, it's not just Blu-ray and DVD movies that you can enjoy, because the T577 plays a host of file formats including DivX and DivX-HD movies, MP3 and WMA (Windows Media Audio) music files and JPEG, GIF and PNG photos from either disc or compatible memory sticks/flash drives plugged into the front-panel USB socket.
Fantastic BD-Live functionality lets you enjoy extra Blu-ray content. You can download extra content such as games, deleted scenes or trailers from the Internet for compatible discs. As well as the Ethernet wired connection, the T577 also features integrated wifi networking, allowing you to connect it to your wireless home network and broadband Internet connection.
The best of both worlds, a sturdy NAD build and design using high-quality components, plus fantastic Wifi networking and media playback functionality, the NAD T577 has it all.
