Two next-generation cube speakers each the size of a coffee mug - deliver clear highs. The Bose Acoustimass module fills your room with rich, deep bass and can be hidden out of sight almost anywhere in your room.

Bose technologies deliver room-filling sound, not room-filling equipment. The redesigned cube speakers are acoustically matched, and their small size allows them to blend unobtrusively into the decor of any room. Using U.S. patented Acoustimass speaker technology, the improved Acoustimass module delivers deep, rich bass for the surround channels without audible distortion. Moreover, because the Acoustimass module can be hidden out of sight, all the room-filling sound - including the deep lows - appears to come from the tiny cubes.

The hideaway Bose Acoustimass base module launches sound on a column of air rather than directly from a vibrating cone like conventional speakers. The result is full, natural bass without audible distortion - all from a compact enclosure. Because bass without distortion cannot be localised, you can hide the module practically anywhere in the room - even under or behind furniture. In addition, all the sound appears to come from the tiny cube speakers.

The key to this U.S. patented technology is the Acoustimass module. Inside are two 13.3 cm speakers and three acoustic chambers. The chambers capture energy from both sides of the speakers. This improves efficiency and enables the module to reproduce a wider range of frequencies - without audible distortion - than conventional "subwoofers". It also allows the cube speakers to be much smaller - without sacrificing performance.

Unlike conventional subwoofers that radiate sound from a vibrating cone, the Acoustimass module launches sound into the room on a column of air. This innovation results in bass so natural and pure, its source is almost impossible to localise, allowing you to place the Acoustimass module almost anywhere - even behind furniture.
